Clare Crawley Is *Officially* Announced as the Next Bachelorette

Clare Crawley is getting ready to hand out the roses.

ABC threw a curveball on Monday morning when they announced the network's next Bachelorette.

This time around, "I feel like my age is really an asset", says Crawley. "So, I want a man who can do that". But Sheindlin explained she's not yet stepping aside entirely, as she's set to launch a brand new show called Judy Justice. "So unexpected, can you believe this?" But for me, it's just more years under my belt.

"A native of Sacramento, California, Clare, 38, enjoys spending her days playing with her two dogs Elby and Honey, doing yoga and hiking with friends", Crawley's bachelorette bio on the ABC website reads. The hairstylist did end up finding a connection on The Bachelor Winter Games in 2018, with Benoit Beauséjour-Savard.

While it's sad news for Hannah B. fans (who can't get to the DWTS tour dates), opens up a world of possibilities in terms of who might be starring in the next season, which is supposed to start shooting in just a couple of weeks.

As for what she wants in a partner, Crawley teased, "I want a man that will take off his armor".

On Saturday, TV writer "Reality Steve" Carbone confirmed Crawley would be the next "Bachelorette." Crawley delivered an iconic on-screen diss during the dumping: "I would never want my children having a father like you". "IT'S TIME." A major complaint for this past season of The Bachelor was how young so many of Peter Weber's contestants were, so it's possible that Crawley's casting is in response to that.

After missing out on love (and, TBH, dodging a bullet with Juan Pablo), Clare went on Bachelor in Paradise, where she made friends with a raccoon, but did not leave with a fiancé. "As of right now, of the guys that I have, 4 of them have kids", he said of the men who are mostly under 30.

As for the question of why Crawley would return to the franchise after several unsuccessful attempts at finding love, she is unequivocal.

The next year, Clare returned, hopeful that she'd find her match, but her search was not fruitful.
