Kate Middleton kicks off her Ireland tour in head-to-toe green

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are taking advice on the Coronavirus threat, but will continue meeting people as usual, it emerged last night.

Kate opted for a £1,567 designer dress by Alessandra Rich, a brand loved both by Kate and her younger sister Pippa, 36, as she arrived at the airport alongside Prince William, 37, to start her three-day trip to the country this afternoon.

Niall Gibbons, CEO of Tourism Ireland, says: "This week's visit by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is a wonderful opportunity to showcase Ireland to a huge audience of prospective holidaymakers across Britain and has the potential to deliver a boost to Irish tourism". The Daisy Heritage studs cost $33,500 AUD and feature 2.97ct of marquise diamonds.

When arriving in Dublin, the duchess was clad in a double-breasted forest green Catherine Walker coat. And her new sparkling Asprey diamond earrings certainly didn't go unnoticed!

Today, William and Kate will travel to sites in Dublin including the Guinness Store House, and meet President Michael D Higgins.

Another added: "This is why Harry will always be more popular than Prince William".

Kate and William also visited the Garden of Remembrance in Dublin, where they paid their respects to those who gave their lives in the battles for Irish independence by laying a wreath, just as Queen Elizabeth did during her historic 2011 visit to Ireland.

They rang the peace bell, which a former president, Mary McAleese, introduced in 2008 to mark the 10th anniversary of the Good Friday agreement.

On Tuesday, the pair bowed their heads in the Garden of Remembrance in Dublin.

They will meet Ireland's acting Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Leo Varadkar at Ireland's Government Buildings.

Next up is a stop at the Guinness Storehouse to pull a pint of the famous black stuff as they finish day one of their journey.

"Tourism Ireland will take every opportunity to exploit the tourism potential from the extensive publicity around the visit".

The Duchess of Cambridge wears a metallic dress by The Vampire's Wife.

The Guinness Storehouse tells the story of the famous Irish tipple, from the brewing process to the brand's history in Dublin, and is Ireland's top global visitor attraction, welcoming 1.7million people in 2019.
