Netflix have released the action-packed trailer for their new movie Extraction

Tyler, a mercenary-for-hire, has been ordered to rescue the kidnapped son, Ovi Mahajan (Rudhraksh Jaiswal), of an global crime lord. The latest development in the saga is the kidnapping of the Indian drug lord's son Ovi. This already complicated mission will become an nearly impossible challenge when having to plunge into the underworld of arms dealers and drug traffickers.

As this first trailer reveals, Tyler Rake's mission has a personal element.

Hemsworth toldUSA Today that his character's task "awakens something within him that he's buried and pushed aside for many years" following the loss of his own son. Saving the life of another man's child will influence the risks Rake is willing to take to protect the boy.

"Extraction" is written by Joe Russo, who also produces with his brother Anthony Russo under their AGBO shingle. However, neither is behind the camera.

Hargrave told Entertainment Weekly of working with Hemsworth: "Our relationship began when I met Chris on the first "Avengers" movie where I was doubling Chris Evans as "Captain America", and he and I had some action scenes together and we got on well". The film sees Rudraksh Jaiswal, Randeep Hooda, Golshifteh Farahani, Pankaj Tripathi, Priyanshu Painyuli, and David Harbour in crucial roles. Though the Netflix film is technically set in the Bangladesh capital city, Extraction was actually filmed in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Chris Hemsworth and the Russo Brothers somehow still aren't enough Avengers goodness for you? Saving half the universe looked easy compared to what he's dealing with next.

Extraction officially lands on Netflix on April 24 - so we do have a little bit of a wait to go - but in the meantime, you can check out the trailer below.
