Prince William Secretly Contracted COVID-19 Back In April | WiLD 94.9

Prince William and Kate will be staying with their children has transpired, although it is not yet confirmed whether it will be in Kensington or at their country house in Anmerhall.

Prince William tested positive for coronavirus in April, according to reports.

Prince William and his wife, Kate, have been keeping up their social engagements through the pandemic via online events and later in person when people were permitted to step out.

But he did not make the diagnosis public "because he didn't want to alarm the nation", the tabloid said.

While we're happy the rest of the Cambridge clan was able to avoid the illness-through taking the necessary government precautions-it sounds like William had quite a rough battle with the virus.

The newspaper quoted a source as saying, "William was hit pretty hard by the virus - it really hit him for six".

"After seeing the doctors and testing positive - which was clearly a shock given how fit and healthy he was - William decided it should be working as usual".

There is "zero chance" he would be allowed back to his royal work, palace sources said - with the insider adding, "There is no way of him ever returning to front-line duties, and he will remain very much on the outside".

The exact date that the duke contracted the virus is not clear, but the publication added that he took a seven-day break from video engagements from April 9.

Prince Charles, 71, tested positive for the virus in March.

Charles went into self-isolation after announcing on 25 March he had mild symptoms of the virus, which has claimed nearly 47,000 lives in Britain.

But it says the prince carried out 14 telephone and video call engagements in April.

"But as a result of his own experiences, he realises absolutely anyone can catch this bad disease â€" and knows how imperative it is that we all take this second lockdown seriously", they said.

Harry and Meghan's travel plans have likely been interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic, and although the health crisis has meant they've been unable to leave their Montecito home, Duchess Meghan recently said she's been enjoying the extra time she's had with her son. Kensington Palace has not commented on either report, but has not issued a denial.
