Sam Smith releases new powerhouse album 'Love Goes'

After losing 14 pounds in 14 days, the Grammy-winner told 60 Minutes Australia that April that they stopped letting food "control" them.

The "How Do You Sleep" vocalist- who has previously dated "13 Reasons Why" star Brandon Flynn - insists they don't care who they end up dating, as it is more about the person than how they identify.

Smith, who came out as non-binary previous year, continued: "I'm definitely going to do that at some point, but I've still got more in me".

"Ooh, every time I hear our song it somehow still hurts me / And, ooh, even after all this time I still kind of miss you", they sing.

"Now I don't know what gender they will be, to be quite honest, and that's a freeing thing - to not be limited to one category of person".

Smith, 28, is promoting their third studio album Love Goes, which arrives Friday, October 30. I generally have never really thought about people, any human beings, in rigid terms.

"I've grown up in a family where the gender power balance and all these things were completely shifted. My sisters are incredibly strong women".

Across two chart-topping albums, lovelorn ballads have proved to be Sam Smith's bread-and-butter. "I think it's just going to take a little bit longer for me to find someone".

I tried not to take myself too seriously when writing a few of these songs.

The "Kids Again" video shows Smith on a lonely day at Brighton Pier singing about how they miss a past love.

Emma recalls of the dinner some years ago: 'I was so drunk, I passed out by the time they were gone'. "It's such a odd time to release music, but I hope this album can be your friend".

In a recent interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe, Smith said they would like to have children in the near future. "I want to be mummy".
