Fauci calls on China to disclose medical records of Wuhan laboratory workers

Last week, the Chinese Foreign Ministry accused the USA of failing to be interested in "serious scientific tracing" of COVID-19's origins after President Joe Biden pledged to push Beijing to take part in a full-blown global investigation into where the virus came from.

The spokesman's comments came after US President Joe Biden stated that he was giving his country's intelligence agencies 90 days to obtain and analyse more information on the origins of COVID-19. But this Peter Daszak, who is buddies with Fauci, who is thanking him privately in emails for covering up the Wuhan leak, ' Paul charged.

Fauci told the FT he continues to believe the virus was first transmitted to humans via animals, pointing out that even if the lab researchers did have COVID-19, they could have contracted the disease from the wider population.

Fauci responded, 'Many thanks for your kind note'.

"I'm stunned that Fauci would now ask this question", said Asher, who is now at the Hudson Institute, a conservative Washington-based think-tank.

"I don't remember what's in that redacted but the idea I think is quite far-fetched that the Chinese deliberately engineered something so that they could kill themselves as well as other people", he said. "I think that's a bit far out".

How has the lab leak theory gathered pace?

They were told not to explore claims about gain-of-function experiments at the Wuhan lab to avoid attracting unwelcome attention to U.S. government funding of such research, reports Vanity Fair. There has also been a renewed focus on the Wuhan researchers who were sent to hospital weeks before the first case of COVID-19 was officially recorded.

His administration had previously deferred to the World Health Organization for answers on how the pandemic began.

The lab-leak theory regarding the novel coronavirus - that it escaped from a lab in China's Wuhan (intentionally or otherwise) - has suddenly gained traction more than a year after it was declared a "conspiracy theory" by the United States mainstream media, debunked by top scientists including that Fauci and censored by the tech-giants like Twitter, Facebook et al.

As Fauci came under intense scrutiny over the last one month where he was grilled by U.S. lawmakers in multiple hearings, he stated that he wasn't convinced (anymore) of the natural origin theory of Covid-19 virus and 'I think we should continue to investigate what went on in China until we continue to find out to the best of our ability what happened'.

Trump, who demitted office earlier this year after losing the presidential election last November, had repeatedly claimed China was not being transparent about the origin of COVID-19 and held it responsible for the deaths and economic devastation of the pandemic.

"What did Dr Fauci know about "gain of function" research, and when did he know it?" "China should pay 10 trillion dollars to USA and world for death and destruction they have caused".

COVID-19's origins have become one of the most contentious questions of the pandemic.
